Where to stay near Dahlonega

I%26#39;ll be traveling to Dahlonega Ga in May. I would like advice on where to stay. None of the hotels in Dahlonega have good reviews. Any advice on where to stay? I%26#39;m looking for reasonable price, clean and safe location within a 15 mile radius.

Thank you for your assistance!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Nov 2006. It was clean and simple but just what we needed. The views of the mountains were spectacular. The hotel is on an incline and it%26#39;s a great location. A mile to downtown. You can walk it but there%26#39;s no sidewalks and the roads are steep and wind around.

There%26#39;s not many places to stay in the area so your options are limited.

We%26#39;ve stayed at that Holiday Inn Express twice. The first time was OK, the second time we had problems (dirty room, front desk staff attitude).

On the other hand, we stayed once at the Days Inn next door and it was a disaster (although this was several years ago).

Dahlonega%26#39;s best known for cabin rentals, not hotels. Depending on how many nights you%26#39;re staying, I%26#39;d say either take the HI Express or maybe check out one of the B%26amp;Bs.

Thank You! I%26#39;ve decided to go to Charleston instead! :)

Take a look at the Park Place Hotel down on the Square.. Right in town, new and beautiful rooms, flat screens, large Suites, free Starbucks and wine.. Second to none

If you want to stay at a special place, Mtn Laurel Creek Inn %26amp; Spa just only ten minutes north of the town square just past Wolf Mtn Winery. 5 guest suites to choose from, they have a spa and just opened up a pub that features North GA wines. No TV%26#39;s in the room, so if you want quite and relaxation, this is the place. You can also check http://www.dahlonegalodging.com for a listing of all the B%26amp;B%26#39;s in the area.
