My family and I are coming to tybee island from April 6thy-11th. Will the ocean be warm enough to swim in for children?

It will be warm enough to PLAY in. Actual swimming might be a bit chilly unless they were used to that temperature. Swimming in the ocean is not a good idea for children. There are tricky tides out beyond the surf line.
The weather has been so unusual this year that it might be almost anything.
Hey, my family are coming to Tybee in June. Is the ocean not safe for children at all, or just in April? I have 16, 11, and 8 year-olds who swim very well. What do you think?
