Atlanta Braves tickets for Memorial Day Weekend (May 23)

We are going to Atlanta for a Braves game May 22 or 23. Since we don%26#39;t know how the weather will be that far ahead of time, I am afraid to buy the tickets early. Will I be able to get tickets before the game or should I just bite the bullet and buy them early and just hope and pray for good weather? We already have hotel reservations at Hyatt Regency, but I can cancel that without losing money up to 1 day before the arrival date.

I wouldn%26#39;t rush to buy tickets. For a little while in the 1990s, it could be tough to get tickets unless you bought in advance, but for the last several years I%26#39;ve almost always been able to get whatever sort of tickets I wanted up until a few days before game time (and closer than that, if you don%26#39;t mind using StubHub).

Thank you. I will try to wait a little longer. Your advice puts my mind at ease.

I should say that for certain visiting teams that are particularly popular (e.g., the Yankees and Red Sox in late June) it may be tougher, but those would be exceptions.

Depends on where you want to sit. If you do not care if you are way up, you should be able to get something. Holiday weekends are usually difficult to get tickets. However, this year I think tickets are more available due to the economy. I would look at ticketmaster and see what they come up with -- that will give you a good idea. If you do not complete the transaction, you are not charged.
