2 years ago when we stayed in Cordele we got turned around and when we stopped for help with directions we were told to be careful and not go near the ';projects'; but was not told where they were located.
Having grown up in Cordele years ago, I had never heard of any area in Cordele called the ';projects';.
My question is where are the ';projects'; located in the Cordele area? Since we will be back in Cordele in a couple weeks I would like to know where not to go.
Thanks,
Georgia Girl
Visiting Cordele
OK
I%26#39;ll bite. If you are from the South you should know about ';The Projects';. This is your first post so I feel like this might be a set-up. The projects are government backed apartments where poor people live. It is pretty obvious when you are in that area of town. (Often drug deals are being made.) Keep your eyes open. That is all I will say about the matter. Leave the area quickly.

other ten being the watermellon capitol of the world i can%26#39;t see a single reason for stopping if not to wash the bugs off your winshield. if i had a farm in cordele and a house in hades once it came summertime i%26#39;d sell the farm and move home to enjoy the cooler weather.
the projects were either the ones at 24th Ave and 11th St or the ones on Blackshear Rd and 2nd st
hello Georgia Girl,
We have never heard of the ';Projects'; either. We are not really familiar with any bad parts of town but can%26#39;t GTD this for sure.
