Hyatt to Forsyth Park

What is the distance from the Hyatt Hotel to Forsyth Park? Can you give any specifics of what is really close to the Hyatt? We will be traveling with our 4 year old and wanted to know what is within walking distance with a small child.

You%26#39;re looking at a mile, from the Hyatt south along Bull Street to the north entrance of Forsyth Park. Bull St. is just across Bay St. from the Hyatt, City Hall looks down on Bull St.

It%26#39;s one of the prettiest streets in Savannah,with 5 squares.

And when you get to the Park, take time to let the Little One feed the pigeons and squirrels. There is usually a peanut vender around to get the peanuts from.

The Hyatt sits right over River Street, there is an elevator in the hotel that takes you down. River street is fun for kids, on the weekends there are musicians, dancers, jugglers, always something going on.

There are also free little ferries that run back and forth across the river, a fun little ride for kids and a nice riverfront area on the other side at the Westin and the convention center.

Keep an eye out for a container ship coming up or down the river, get as close as you can, that is aways an attention getter, they are huge.

At the east end of River Street is a nice park, just grass but plenty of room to run and a couple nice statues.

What about the trolley tours? On/off priviliges? What is a typical price for one of these?
