Hey guys! My May trip is coming up, and we%26#39;ve sorted out a tentative itinerary for the days we%26#39;ll be there. Just wanted to get a bit of feedback on it - if there%26#39;s anything we should change, or if we%26#39;re trying to pack too much in, etc. Also thought it might help other fellow trip-planners!
I sincerely appreciate all the great advice and information available in this forum. You guys have been a huge help in planning everything.

Any unplanned time will be filled with lots of exploring and walking about the Historic District. We%26#39;d also like to visit Leopold%26#39;s Icecream, River Street Sweets, Vinnie%26#39;s, and the Savannah Tea Room if possible, but not sure when we%26#39;ll fit it in. Really looking forward to the trip!
Trip Itinerary
Wow, for once someone with a plan that sounds reasonable without being rushed! We just got back from our latest trip and I got TWO cones on the same day at Leopolds-us New Englanders love our ice cream and despite the line sometimes, Leopolds was terrific! We%26#39;ve eaten dinner a couple of times at Jazz%26#39;d and loved that too. And AJ%26#39;s- been there 3-4 times and loved it too, it had surprisingly original foods, not just the hamburger stuff. You might have time for breakfast on Tybee at the Breakfast Place (Club?) if you don%26#39;t want to eat at your Inn, there is often a line on weekends but the food is pretty good. You have a nice relaxed plan, have fun!!!
Trip Itinerary
Sounds great, not too packed. All the downtown stuff is really in a pretty small area so the travel times are short, even on foot.
If you have time, use the trip to The Mansion to walk down Bull, sit in the squares and just soak it in. Also be sure to wander around Forsyth park when you are done, it is right across the street from 700 Drayton. Then use Abercorn or Barnard to get back downtown that way you will be seeing a lot of beautiful real estate, while getting where you need to go.
It is breakfast club on Tybee and a fun place to go if you eat breakfast. Closes at 1:00 I think... maybe 3:00
Thanks guys! My hope is definitely that, while we want to have some plans and things in mind to do, we also want plenty of time to just relax and enjoy Savannah. We%26#39;ll definitely make sure to take that route, BrianO, it sounds lovely.
And I%26#39;ll mark down The Breakfast Club as another place to try - though I%26#39;ve heard such great things about Ed%26#39;s cooking at the 1895 Inn that I%26#39;m not sure if we%26#39;ll be able to tear ourselves away!
On another note, has anyone had any experience with any of the spas in town? I%26#39;ve actually never been to a spa myself, but we figured it was the perfect time for a little pampering. I%26#39;ve read reviews on all of them but it%26#39;s still a little hard to tell, sometimes. Savannah Day Spa seems to be popular and has a lot of offerings... Vanilla Day Spa was apparently voted the best spa by Savannah Magazine... and the Sweet Water Spa seems to be priced best and looks like a lovely place. Read some bad reviews on both Savannah and Vanilla Day, but I suppose that%26#39;s bound to happen with higher-trafficked places. :) We%26#39;re looking for something quiet and relaxing and maybe even a little quaint, versus salon-like or super upscale. Do any of you have any details to share?
Thanks again for all the help! May 25 can%26#39;t come soon enough!
