Vacation rental at Atlantic Station, VRBO 204013

This is a first floor condominium near Atlantic Station (they say ';in'; A.S.). The view is directly at the IKEA store about 100 yards away. Read the listing in VRBO - it is accurate and fair. We stayed there 4 nights in April, 2009. We got the distinct impression that the rest of the building was not more than 25% occupied. Access to I-85 and I-75 is quick and easy. Like most rental offerings it is a mixture of good news and poor.

On the plus side: it is almost exactly as they claim in VRBO.com. The rental agent is quite friendly, helpful, and reliable. She said she was on call 24 hours, but we never had any need to call on her after we got there. The furniture is comfortable, the beds are good, and there is certainly ample space for two couples. there are flat screen TVs in each BR. The bathrooms and closets are plenty large and functional. The towels and bed linens provided are good. Two parking places are provided in a gated secure parking building. The price was very good. We paid $680, bottom line, for four nights. Cable service and telephone are provided. Washer, dryer, microwave, good size refrigerator are provided.

On the other hand: the kitchen is not adequately equipped - you could just barely, maybe, provide a meal for four people. There is a shortage of table ware and glasses, no coffee grinder, no electric frying pan. The building halls are distinctly prison like, stuffy and dreary. There is a huge flat screen TV in the living room, with very poor picture quality. The most serious problem we had was with lighting. The kitchen, dining area, bathrooms are well lit - but there is no adequate reading light anywhere in the condo. The bedrooms are particularly poorly lit.

It is about a ten minute walk to Target, five to IKEA, maybe twelve to Publix or the central shopping zone in A.S.

This place may be a good idea for someone who needs to be near Atlantic Station at a bargain rate.

Thanks for that review. We occasionally get requests about vacation rentals, but I haven%26#39;t read any follow up from someone who actually rented. We%26#39;ll keep this one in mind for someone who needs that area.
