We are due in Tybee Island the early part of June. Heard a rumor that Mylie Cyrus is filming a new movie and it is suposed to be filmed at Tybee....Any one heard anything about this? If its true, how ridiculous do you think the wannabes and traffic will be? We are not familiar with the area at all, but seems like it is pretty small and don%26#39;t want to get stuck in all the craziness. Thanks.

It is true. I am not sure when they are suppose to film but it is this summer. I know they say they are going to be filming at the peir. I can only image that there will be a lot of vacations planned for that time so the young girls can get to see her. It was fuuny when they had it on the local news about the movie. All of the 11 to 13 year old girls planning on stalking the movie set.
You can search for WTOC tv%26#39;s website or Savannahnow.com and search for the movie. They may be able to provide the dates the filmimng will take place.
Hopefully Tybee will be smart enough to keep this under controll. They need to take care of their standard tourist so they will return again. If they do not it will cost them in the long run.
