Pubs within walking distance of the Ritz (downtown)?

I will be at the Ritz/downtown for a business trip this weekend. Are there any pubs or restaurants with live music within a short, safe walking distance from the Ritz?

There are a few, though I%26#39;m not sure if any have live music. Downtown%26#39;s not really known for a lively nightlife scene. Fortunately, you don%26#39;t have to limit yourself to downtown -- the Ritz is next to Peachtree Center MARTA rail station, and you can readily take the train to Midtown or Buckhead, and be within walking distance of a lot more options. Pubs within walking distance of the Ritz (downtown)?

For live music, check out Trader Vic%26#39;s on Thursday. Otherwise, I don%26#39;t know of many options downtown. For bars downtown, I would go to the W, the Ellis Hotel, the rooftop at the Glenn Hotel (which does have a dj and a fabulous view but call first to make sure it%26#39;s open), Sidebar. Max Lager%26#39;s is decent - a brewpub - and would be more casual. The bar at Twelve Hotel is pretty happening usually.

Your best bet, though, is to check out creativeloafing.com to see what acts are in Atlanta, and take a cab or MARTA to where those acts are playing. If you need more specific directions, please let us know.
