What to wear in Atlanta end of April/first week of May

I will be in downtown Atlanta for a convention next week. Can somebody suggest what to pack? Can I take summer-like clothing, i.e. sundresses, sandels and sleeveless shirts?

I haven%26#39;t pulled out my summer clothing yet. I will do that more towards the end of May. Right now I am wearing short sleeved shirts and slacks or skirts. The mornings are still cool so a light sweater is in order for most mornings.

next week, the low is supposed to be no lower than 53 and most days will have high of 75-78 degrees. For Boston, that is a heat wave..so sandals,sundresses and sleeveless shirts would be fine, just in case have a small cover for the mornings.

Yikes- forgot that you%26#39;re from Boston. My daughter lives in Pittsburgh and she started wearing her summer clothes when she came here in early April. Hope you have a good trip.

Thanks so much for your replies, everybody! We%26#39;re supposed to be getting temps in the 80%26#39;s here this weekend, so the summer clothes will be out anyway. Summer clothes with a few sweaters/wraps along for good measure sounds like a plan!
