To army Moms .
Is your son at Ft. Benning for basic training? If he is there for basic, phone calls are extremely limited (allowed only for family emergencies).
To army Moms .
Hi, My son has called 2 times. He will graduate on March 15. he is inm D- C54. He called 2 weeks ago %26amp; 2 weeks before that. The first time he had 20 minutes and talked to us then for 10 minutes %26amp; his brother for 10 minutes. We are so looking forward to graduation %26amp; family day.
My son lefted Feb 6 i have only had 2 calls he has told me not to worry and that he probaly want get to call much at all now . until family day and it is the 14th of april graduation for him is may 17th and 18th. I wish you the best and may god bless you and our troops . There is not a day that goes by i dont think of him . but i am proud!!!!! when i do get a call it comes in from a pay phone they have to buy phones cards he said and only 2 mins they are allowed .
hey have you got to here from your son any more i sure hope so the last my son called his spirits were real high and he could not wait for us to come on family day my thoughts are with you and bless you I pray for our troops everyday
While my son was there for his bootcamp I think we talked to him 2x. It was hard but don%26#39;t worry, once he%26#39;s out and on his way to his MOS, you won%26#39;t get him to shut up!!!!
I%26#39;ll share this with those of you who%26#39;s children are now in bootcamp...the others will know this....
We were there at graduation, he was so skinny, he looked at me and said...
';That was the hardest thing I%26#39;ve ever done.';
I told him we were proud of him and his response was,
';Thanks.....I%26#39;m proud of me too.';
That made it all worthwhile.
I know the feeling of not hearing from your son. I have a son who is also at Ft. Benning. He is my third son to join the army. Believe me, whether it is one or your third son or daughter in the military it is hard, but rewarding. I send lots of letters to my son and granted I would love to reieve more than he has sent to me, I treasure everyone I have. I have every letter that my sons have ever written me and I have them in the scrapbooks of thier military careers. Graduation day will a relief and a proud moment for all of us when we go and see our sons graduation. We just have to be patient with our sons and see them on their graduation day when we get to hold them in our arms for a moment.
Hello Lynn,
My son has missed two Sunday calls home. Twice he has called in the evening during the week. They line up for the pay phone during their time and sometimes they get to use it, sometimes time runs out. Please scope www.soldierschapel.com, find your son%26#39;s group, and look through the photos. The photos have been a true blessing! God Bless you and your family.

I am planning on attending his family day on June 2nd. He gets a 36 hr pass. I am coming from Boston.
