Most Worthwhile Activities

Hello everyone,

I%26#39;m trying to decide whether to stay 2 or 3 nights and wanted opinions on the best actvities for a short stay. We like to spend time somewhat unstructured but want to learn Savannah%26#39;s history.

So, is a trolley tour best to see sights and then be able to hop on and off the rest of the day? If so, is Ogelthorpe best? Or is another recommended? Would a walking tour provide substantially more worthwhile history?

If so, is Explore Savannah better or Discover Savannah? What about the Architecture Tour?

Can we book these once in town or is it wiser to prearrange?

700 Kitchen Cooking School-----is it worthwhile and can we arrange it once there? Any tips?

Are the historic District%26#39;s major attractions easy to find while exploring the town in general?

Creepy Crawly Haunted Pub Tour----We%26#39;re not generally big ghost types! However, this type of tour seems characteristic to Savannah, so is it worthwhile? We are interested in the super natural but not horror. If not are any similiar tours better?

Thanks again!

The trolley tour is a good idea for a nice overview and also to have the use as a shuttle, saving a little wear on the feet.

A walking tour would obviously cover less ground but give you more detail on what is covered. Explore used to be in this forum often and was a nice guy with a lot of knowledge, that is all I know about that.

700 and Chef Randall seem to be the two big cooking classes, check the reviews to see which one might fit best.

The entire HD is about a mile square so nothing is very far from where you are, they have a nice map at the visitors center which is on MLK at Liberty street, they can also be found all over downtown in shops and such free.

I don%26#39;t know anything about the ghosty stuff.
